How to Measure

We have added a link to a video to show you how to best take your measurements.

Please use the attached guide to take your own accurate measurements and provide them to us when ordering your dress.

Your Personal Measurements

Area Your Measurements Instruction Notes
Key Measurements
Bust cm Wear a bra, relax arms at sides, pull tape across the fullest part of the bust
Waist cm Find the natural waist (this is the smallest part of the waist), usually about 1 in. above belly button, keep tape slightly loose to allow for breathing room
Hips cm Find the widest part of the hips, usually about 7 in. below natural waist, tape should brush across both hipbones
Hollow to Floor cm Stand straight with feet together, measure with shoes on, begin at the hollow space between the collarbones and pull tape straight down to the floor
Height (with shoes) cm Stand straight with feet together, measure with shoes on, begin at the top of the head and pull tape straight down to the floor
Height (without shoes) cm As above but with bare feet
Shoe Height cm Measure the height of the heels of the shoes you are going to wear on the day (of you don’t yet have your shoes measure a pair you already have that are comfortable for you to wear all day)
Additional Measurements
Neck cm Note: Only required if your dress has a high collar
Length Shoulder to Bust cm From top of your shoulder to nipple
Front Length Shoulder to Waist cm From top of shoulder to waist (place a ribbon around your waist to make taking these measurements easier)
Outer Leg (with shoes) cm Stand straight, measure with shoes on, measure from waist to floor
Waist to Hem (without shoes) cm Stand straight, measure with bare feet, measure from waist to floor
Upper Bust cm Wear a bra, relax arms at sides, pull tape above you bust
Under Bust cm Wear a bra, relax arms at sides, pull tape below you bust (where your bra would sit)
Nipple to Nipple cm Wear a bra, relax arms at sides, bust point to bust point
Belly cm Measure around the fullest part of your tummy keeping the tape measure a little loose for comfort. Note: Only required for pregnancy dresses.
Armhole cm Wrap the measuring tape over the top of your shoulder & around under your armpit, keep the tape slightly looser for comfort. Note: Only required for dresses with sleeves.
Armpit to Elbow cm Measure from armpit to elbow (usually done at the back of the arm). Note: Only required for dresses with sleeves.
Upper Arm Length cm Measure from outer shoulder to elbow. Note: Only required for dresses with sleeves.
Bicep cm Wrap the tape around the widest part of your arm. Note: Only required for dresses with sleeves.
Arm Length cm Length from your shoulder point to the wrist of your hand. Note: Only required for dresses with sleeves.
Wrist cm Measure your actual wrist circumference. Note: Only required for dresses with sleeves.
Shoulder to Shoulder cm Keep your shoulders relaxed, from edge of one shoulder socket to the other, keep tape a little loose for a better fit
Back Length cm Measure from shoulder to waist (from the same shoulder point that you measured for your front)

Important

  1. Measure with undergarments similar to those you will wear with your dress;
  2. Do not measure over other clothing.
  3. Make sure the measuring tape is parallel to the floor and pulled evenly across the body with no slack.
  4. However keep measuring tape comfortably loose
